Special comments	The adoption process for Aaron was fairly smooth, only took around 6 months. He was escorted directly to our city on 11/18/94 and we were able to pick him up at the airport!  Anna was a much more difficult process.  When we decided to adopt again we knew that travel was required so we determined that Dad would travel and Mom would stay home with Aaron.  Dad left in early May 1998 and as soon as arrived in Vietnam was told there were complications concerning the adoption.  After staying for 2 weeks trying to come to some kind of resolution, he had to leave without our daughter.  For a long agonizing year we waited in limbo not ever knowing if she would ever be able to come home. Finally Dad left again at the end of May 1999 and came home with Anna on June 15th, 1999. We have been blessed with two bright beautiful healthy children.

Special comments	We really enjoyed working with PLAN & IMH--they are terrific. The whole family (my wife Judy and the four older daughters we have between us: Becky then 17, Lindsay then 16, Shannon then 15 and Caitrin then 14) traveled to bring Lydia home. Although she had a few very minor health issues (bronchitis, scabies scarring, baby tooth decay) and was not sitting up when we got her, she has overcome all of her early challenges and is a delightful, bright, inquisitive, charming, funny, resilient dynamo with an appetite of a horse and a stamina to go along with it. We would be delighted to share with anyone our experiences getting ready for Lydia, traveling to Vietnam and Thailand, the early months and beyond back home and--for that matter--raising a now 3 year old at the same time as we are packing one after another off to college. If anyone is headed to the Soc Trang Province Orphanage and would be willing to take word that Lydia (Nguyen Hai Au) is thriving wonderfully well as an intelligent, lively, delightful three year old----we would be very, very grateful
