Tucson Chapter:
We meet (mostly) monthly, and serve as a playgroup and networking support for families who have adopted children from Viet Nam in the southern Arizona area. Contact: Mary Stout (email : thmarsha@comcast.net) for more information.
Sacramento
Our group consists of several families in the Sacramento area that get together regularly. People could e-mail Sharon Hanson or call me at (530) 676-1756 or call Noel Nueburger at (916) 944-0186.
San Diego:
Our small group gets together to eat in Vietnamese restaurants or read Tet books in school. We are interested in expanding our group. We welcome anyone who is interested in adopting from Vietnam, in the process of adopting from Vietnam, who has adopted from Vietnam or who has adopted from the U.S. whose child(ren) are of Vietnamese descent. We also welcome families who have adopted from Asia in general such as Cambodia.. Please e-mail Michelle Busch if you are interested in receiving mail about our activities.
San Francisco Bay Area Chapter:
The Bay Area Chapters of FCVN cover San Francisco, the Peninsula, the South Bay, East Bay, and North Bay Areas. FCV adoptive families or waiting parents from any distance are welcome to attend our gatherings. We try to gather to celebrate Tet, the Mid-Autumn Festival, and have an annual picnic. We are establishing an annual Jane Brown Adoption Playshop for the kids, and Parent Seminars on Adoption Topics for FCV Families. We also offer a Cultural Play Group and are trying to establish more Playgroups to get together more often. We have an email Newsletter so make sure that you get onto our email list! Washington DC Capital Area Chapter:
This group includes families and waiting parents who live in Northern Virginia, DC, and nearby Maryland. We have family events every other month, parents' dinners on alternate months, and have some special activities such as Vietnamese cooking classes and speakers. Jacksonville, FL "World Treasures" Chapter

Atlanta Chapter:
Families With Children from Vietnam (FCV) is the adoption support network for families who have adopted from Viet Nam and for prospective parents who wish to adopt a child from Viet Nam. In addition, many chapters have provided support for families adopting from other Southeast Asian countries. It is our hope that the Atlanta Chapter of FCV would be a warm and inviting group of people who meet periodically to learn and celebrate Vietnamese culture and history. Our primary emphasis is social! We want to get to know one another better, provide support for one another and have the opportunity for our children to spend time with other families just like their own. The Chicago Chapter families welcome all those with (or waiting for) adopted children from Vietnam, and those with an interest in international adoption. We gather formally for Tet (Vietnamese New Year), Tet Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Moon Festival) and a summer picnic. Many families in the group also get together informally throughout the year for socializing and play. Central Indiana Chapter:
I wanted to give you some information on our Central Indiana FCV group. We have a very good relationship with our area Vietnamese Association. They invite us to share Tet and Trung Thu celebrations with them. We also have get- togethers for our area families. Central Kentucky Families With Children From Asia Chapter:
We welcome anyone who is interested in, is in the process of, or has adopted children from Asia. We welcome anyone from Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Our goal is to be a support group for each other and our children. We plan to meet several times a year, arrange play dates and promote our children's cultural heritage. This organization embraces families with children from China, Vietnam, Korea and other Asian countries. They sponsor many events dealing with adoption issues as well as teaching about the culture of our children's birth countries. Boston
FCV-Boston offers families a chance to connect with one another at informal get-togethers throughout the year. Activities have included Tet celebrations, a spring-time playground gatherings, culture camp, and summer picnics. For more information, contact Maryann O'Connor at fcv-boston@comcast.com.
Contact Western Massachusetts Chapter:
We are a group of about 15-20 families who live in Western Massachusetts (Northampton, Amherst, South Hadley, Worthington) and have been meeting together since Fall 1998. We meet once a month at members homes, including an annual weekend camping trip in the Berkshires, a swim party in the spring, and for Tet. Michigan Chapter:

Mam Non:
The purpose of the Mam Non Organization is to promote Vietnamese culture to Vietnamese-American children, adoptees, and their families through cultural events in the Michigan area. The main event is an annual Tet celebration co-sponsored by the University of Michigan Vietnamese Student Association (UMVSA) and the Michigan chapter of Families with Children from Vietnam (FCV). Vietnam Midwest Family Circle - FCV Chapter:
We began in 1998 as a group of families who had adopted from Children's Home Society of MN but soon after expanded to include all families who have adopted from Vietnam. We have two wonderful celebrations each year (Mid Autumn Moon and Tet) and have also organized other outings and events as well. Our members are primarily based in Minnesota & Wisconsin. St. Louis Chapter:

We have a support group in Omaha with 35 member families, about half of whom have adopted from Vietnam. Lincoln Area Chapter:
Tammie and Larry Stolz of Lincoln are forming a chapter for Nebraska families adopting or having adopted from Vietnam. The Stolz are seeking other families to join the group for social and educational activities. Interested families are asked to contact the Stolz at tammienlarry@prodigy.net
The NJ chapter is open to families in the New Jersey area who have adopted from Vietnam. We started up in early 2004 and have had a couple of get togethers since. We would love to welcome new members. The group plans to get together on an ongoing basis. We have a very small group of families with young children from Vietnam here in Albuquerque, NM which has been meeting regularly for the past three years for play groups. Contact Jason Krosinsky at jasonkro@worldnet.att.net
New York City Chapter:
This is a chapter for those people who live in the 5 boroughs of New York City who are in the process of adopting or have adopted already from Vietnam. We are just getting started (early 2000) and hope to have alot of events for Vietnamese holidays and cultural events. We also hope to have input from everyone and arrange playdates. Rochester Chapter:
FCVN Rochester is an informal group that meeets in the Rochester, NY area. Individuals/families who have adopted, or are planning to adopt from Vietnam are welcome. We develop connections with the Rochester area Vietnamese community. We get together to learn about and celebrate Vietnamese culture and history. Our children get opportunities to interact with families similar to theirs! We've planned family events with activities for the kids to occur about 4 times a year (once a season). Upstate New York Chapter:
We are an informal group of families with children from Vietnam, and welcome all who have adopted, or are in the process of adopting a child from Vietnam. North Carolina Triangle Chapter:
Our growing and enthusiastic group meets every other month in Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas of North Carolina. We welcome everyone interested in adoption from Vietnam. Families with Children from Vietnam-Cincinnati is a support group for families who have adopted or plan to adopt children from Vietnam. We get together about four times per year to learn about and celebrate Vietnamese culture and history with our children. We are in the Cincinnati, Ohio area and our group includes families from northern Kentucky, southwest Ohio, and southeast Indiana. Harrisburg Families with Children from Asia Chapter:

South Central Pennsylvania Chapter of Families with Children from Vietnam
Serving Gettysburg, Hanover, York, Harrisburg, Carlisle, Chambersburg and surrounding areas. This is a newly developing organization that has loosely been having activities over the past five years within the South Central part of Pennsylvania. It is our hope that we can begin to build up educational and fun annual activities for our children who have been adopted from Vietnam. Nashville/Middle Tennessee Area Chapter:
We are a new chapter and a support group for families who have adopted or plan to adopt children from Vietnam. This is primarily a social time for our families, but it is also a time where families who have already traveled can assist those that have not. We plan to meet bi-monthly. Most of the children are very young now, but we hope to start a Vietnamese preschool program sometime in the future as the children get a little older.
